Australia's newly announced AI Safety Institute is recruiting for its founding team—including senior leadership, research scientists, engineers, and policy specialists. Early hires will shape the institute's direction, culture, and impact for years to come.

The AISI needs people with hands-on experience evaluating frontier models and deep technical expertise. We want to make sure you have the information and resources you need to apply your talent in Australia.
Greg Sadler brings 15+ years of Commonwealth public service experience, including senior national security roles and work at Emergency Management Australia, where he designed and facilitated exercises on catastrophic disasters, complex cascading scenarios, and space weather. As CEO of Good Ancestors, Greg has been advocating for an Australian AISI since 2023, provided oral evidence to the Commonwealth Senate Inquiry on Adopting AI, regularly briefs parliamentarians and senior public servants, and has collaborated with the UK AI Safety Institute on technical capability evaluations. He has established relationships across Defence, Home Affairs, PM&C, and other agencies.
