The Coalition criticises the current Government for holding consultations and announcing advisory bodies rather than taking “the dynamic action that is required on such a critical issue”. However the Coalition says nothing specific about an AI Safety Institute.
A dedicated AI Act with mandatory guardrails for high-risk AI systems will both protect Australians and create the certainty businesses need to innovate.
